The NFL season is getting closer and closer and experts are starting to give input on who they think is poised to have a great season. In the NFL no position is more important than quarterback, and the Packers have had the MVP in back-to-back years now.
Even though Aaron Rodgers has been voted MVP the last two years there’s no guarantee he’s due to follow with a great year. NFL executives, coaches, scouts and players recently ranked quarterbacks for the 2022 season.

ESPN’s “Get Up” posted the results of the rankings this morning and Aaron Rodgers leads the field despite being the second oldest on the list. Rodgers is followed by Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Tom Brady and Joe Burrow to round out the top five.
Even though Rodgers just won MVP it is a little bit of a surprise he was ranked first. At the end of last season, there was plenty of talk about Tom Brady potentially winning MVP. Rodgers may have won the voting, but it was closer than many think. Additionally, Rodgers falls behind Mahomes and Allen in terms of MVP betting odds going into next season.
Considering the Packers traded away his top target in Davante Adams, it's fair to wonder if Rodgers is due for a statistical regression. However, there's every reason to believe Rodgers still possesses the skills that have made him an elite quarterback.
The Packers will simply have to find new ways to win and nobody really knows what that will look like. It could be a heavy ground game with AJ Dillon and Aaron Jones. It could be a heavy passing game more reliant on spreading targets. Regardless of how the Packers go about the offense, Rodgers should be able to execute at a high level as he’s always done. It certainly appears people around the NFL expect him to do so.
