Warriors Bringing Back Lester Quinones on Two-Way Contract
Darren Yamashita-USA TODAY Sports

The Warriors are re-signing shooting guard Lester Quinones on a two-way contract, per Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Quinones, 22, spent last season as a rookie on the same deal, playing primarily for the Santa Cruz Warriors of the G League. He looked good with Golden State’s summer team, averaging 21.9 points, 4.4 assists and 4.1 rebounds in seven games.

Quinones, who played his college ball at Memphis, will have a shot at a standard contract with a strong training camp, Charania indicated.

The Warriors currently have the likes of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Chris Paul, Cory Joseph, Moses Moody, Gary Payton II and rookie Brandin Podziemski manning the backcourt, so Quinones getting more than a two-way deal is actually a long shot.

Teams can carry three two-way players this season, up from two in previous years.
