Emmanuel Acho may have predicted the fate of the Warriors' Big Three

After a decade-plus of defying the odds, the Golden State Warriors dynasty looks to be over. The 10th-seeded Warriors were eliminated from the NBA play-in tournament Tuesday at the hands of the Sacramento Kings, 118-94.

Hours before the game, FS1 “Speak” host Emmanuel Acho went on a rant about the futures of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green as a unit. The end has been discussed since last season but seems like it may finally be at hand.

“It hurts me to say this, but the Warriors officially have to break up the Big 3. 'Father Time' is not on their side and He’s a force multiplier. One of them aging doesn’t just make one of them worse, it makes all of them worse. And they’re all aging,” Acho said

Acho made this proclamation Tuesday afternoon and by the end of the evening, his words came off more like a premonition. Sacramento handled Golden State easily on its way to a double-digit win. The Warriors never led at the end of any quarter in this game and Curry ended as the only Golden State player with more than 16 points.

Curry led the way for the Warriors with 22 points, 11 of which came in the third quarter. Jonathan Kuminga and Moses Moody chipped in with 16 apiece, but it wasn’t nearly enough.

Thompson went out shooting in what could have been his last game in a Warriors uniform. In 31 minutes and change, Thompson put up a goose egg, missing all 10 of his attempts from the field, with six coming from three-point range.

While this one cuts deep, Acho might be right about the Warriors. With all the drama surrounding Green (multiple suspensions) this year and Thompson wanting a new contract, we may have seen this trio together for the last time.
