Watch: Longhorns Put on Dunk Show in Win Over TCU

The Texas men's basketball official X account posted a short video montage of the team's mini dunk contest.

Mitchell's textbook windmill dunk after the steal and Weaver's breakaway slam from the elbow in transition showcased the kind of athleticism the Longhorns are ready to show off on the big stage in March if they earn their way to the NCAA Tournament.

Though it was Max Abmas that sealed the win with a personal 11-0 run in the final minutes before finishing with a game-high 21 points, it was the efforts of Dylan Disu, Weaver and Mitchell that helped Texas overcome a slow start to take control of the game headed into halftime.

The dunks helped give the Longhorns some much-needed momentum, which they built on. Disu's and-one dunk and ensuing free throw with 8:37 left in the second half was the turning point, as it gave Texas a 57-55 lead. After this, TCU didn't hold a lead for the remainder of the game.

Disu finished with 15 points and seven rebounds, Mitchell had 13 points and 11 rebounds, and Weaver tallied seven points in his first start of the season.

Texas (15-7, 4-5 Big 12) tips off against No. 14 Iowa State (16-5, 5-3 Big 12) at the Moody Center on Tuesday at 7 p.m. CT.
